This Wednesday, 9, the second day of Expocine programming, Latin America's largest film business convention, brought to the market the performances of Line Up 2024/2025 of the distributors Kolbe Art, Paris Filmes, Elo Studios and Image Filmes. Elo also brought the special participation of singer Belo, who is in the cast of the feature film “Fall in Real”, with a debut scheduled for October 24, and actor Rodrigo Simas to publicize the movie “Viva a Vida” one of his future projects for the big screen.

Among the lectures, which took place on the stage of the Auditorium of the Renaissance Hotel, the event began the day discussing the central theme of this edition, connecting cinema to the future. For Hernán Viviano, VP Latam from Warner and Universal, who was one of the conversation participants, the industry as a whole is working well and being creative in the promotional campaigns and seeking to bring the audience to the cinema, as always done.

“We are an industry that depends on the product and when it connects with the audience is a success. A wonderful question that streaming has brought was that we are increasingly lovers of different genres. So each movie has much greater potential that had in the past. Our challenge, of all as industry, is to continue doing our best and giving hands on display, distributors and producers.”

The possibilities and the current reality of productions aimed at children also gained space at the event on Wednesday. Beth Carmona, director general of the Comkids Festival, spoke about the responsibility of creating content for children with educational commitment to inspire in the future.

“To educate around the screen world is to be able to offer resources for these children to have their eyes stimulated, learn from the point of view of audiovisual aesthetics. The formation of the look goes through the informative content, the theme of history, but it goes through aesthetic information. So, offering children these images with variety, quantity and diversity is a work for the future.”

Throughout the day, the perspectives and challenges of production, distribution and film display, the importance of international co -productions for Brazil and the process of digitizing the display park in Brazil completed meetings among professionals in the sector.

The program of workshops, located in the Ancine Sala, from Cine Marquue, had three activities on Wednesday. The first approached creativity and critical thinking as ways to boost audiovisual projects. Then participants were able to know and discuss ways to apply AI technologies to transform film processes. Finally, alternatives on how to enrich contact with the public before, during and after the screening, encouraging loyalty was the theme of the last meeting.
